Alton Industries, the company that I believe originally offered Alton air compressors, has been "dedicated to building performance-driven and reliable products in the power tool industry."
Having said that, I wonder if they actually "build" anything, but simply source them from a host of manufacturers worldwide, and then have those sources private label the products they so choose?
Certainly, all of the compressors they offer now are of the Briggs & Stratton brand, and they sure seem to sell a lot of stuff that suits many different manufacturers.
If I'm wrong, and Alton Industries has nothing to do with the Alton air compressors brands, I would like to be corrected.
